You can use either a command-line client or a GUI-based client. Generally speaking, GUI-based clients are much easier to use.
Here’s how you do it using AnyClient, a GUI-based file transfer client that supports FTP/S, SFTP, WebDAV/S, Amazon S3, and AFTP.
Enter your FTP server’s hostname or IP address, your username on the server, and that username’s corresponding password.
Select FTP for the protocol.
Click Connect.
Once you’ve successfully connected, you’ll then be shown two panels. The left panel represents your local file system, while the remote panel represents the FTP server’s file system.
Select the file or files you want to upload from the left panel and then click the Upload button as shown below. That’s it!
