I think knowing when to call for help can make a stressful vehicle problem much easier to handle. I would consider roadside assistance services if my car suddenly breaks down, gets a flat tire, has a dead battery, or runs out of fuel. I also wouldn’t try to fix a serious mechanical issue myself, especially if I’m stopped in an unsafe location. In my experience, the first thing I would do is move the vehicle to a safe spot if possible, turn on the hazard lights, and stay aware of surrounding traffic. I’d then contact a reliable service and clearly explain the problem and my location. I believe being prepared with an emergency contact can save valuable time when an unexpected car problem happens.
